The Ohio State International Internship Program is known for bringing turfgrass students from around the world into the United States to work on golf courses and sportsfields.  These students then return home to finish their education and take positions in the industry.  For example, Mike O'Keeffe the Program Manager shown here on the left is standing with a former intern Graig Haldane.  Graig is the golf course superintendent at The Emirates Golf Club in Dubai and is originally from South Africa.  What is not has commonly known is the  program sends US students overseas.  Although we send 5 or 6 students a year overseas from the OSU Turfgrass Program, other students from around the country can also have the same opportunity through the OSU International Internship Program.  For example, Brent Downs from Purdue University went to Loch Lomond Golf Club in Scotland this past year.  Brent wrote an article on his experience that appeared in PitchCare
