Eric Ruha Promoted to Director of Golf PDF Print E-mail

Eric Ruha at Shadow WoodEric Ruha ('99) has been promoted to Director of Golf Course Operations at Shadow Wood Country Club (Bonita Bay, FL) and will be overseeing all three golf courses.  Eric started at Shadow Wood in 2002 as the Assistant Superintendent at the Preserve and was promoted to the Preserve Superintendent in February 2004.  Eric has over 13 years experience in golf course maintenance and has worked for clubs including Fiddlers Creek Country Club in Naples, Columbus Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, and Double Eagle Golf Club in Galena, Ohio previous to joining the Shadow Wood team.  Eric is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he received his bachelors degree in Turfgrass Science as well as a minor in Plant Pathology.  He is a 13 year member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) where he maintains a Class A status.  Eric has done an outstanding job of supervising and maintaining the Preserve golf course operation over the past few years.  His promotion with increased responsibilities was hard earned and well deserved.  -  Dick McPhail, General Manager
