The Ohio State University

The Ohio State University currently has two online courses in turfgrass management: The Golf Course Management Certificate and The Sports Turf Management Certificate. Both of these courses are offered to industry professionals worldwide. The courses are offered entirely online, with no books to purchase or meetings to attend, so the student can work through the course at their own pace at a time most convenient to them.

New Prices for 2009: Each of these courses have incurred a slight increases in cost for 2009. Please follow the link on the front page of this website for details. A new version of the Sports Turf Management Certificate leaflet depicting the updated prices can be accessed HERE.

Professional Credits: Both courses currently offer continuing education units (CEUs) from professional organisations. The golf certificate carries CEUs from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and the sports turf certificate carries CEUs from the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA). There are also plans to work with STMA to offer certificate students points towards taking the Certified Sports Field Managers  (CSFM) exam.

Academic Credit: NEW this year, both of these certificate programs will be offered to students and industry professionals worldwide for academic credit from The Ohio State University
