What is the Lantern & can I get involved? PDF Print E-mail

The Lantern is the OSU campus newspaper. There are two basic routes for getting involved with this student publication. The first is to take Comm 423 for credit, which is available for non-communication majors without a prerequisite and with permission of the adviser. The second route is to become a freelance writer. For both of these positions, the first step is to submit an application, which consists of contact information and a writing sample. Applications are available in The Lantern newsroom and on the web at www.thelantern.com.
