Why Study Turf?

The Turfgrass Science major at The Ohio State University is a premier opportunity to incorporate all components of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) into a fulfilling career. Our alumni direct turfgrass management operations at world-renowned golf courses, athletic stadiums, and lawn care companies in both the United States and abroad. Our hands-on approach to education prepares students for the science, business, and communication necessary for success in the turfgrass industry. While in the program, students must complete an internship, which builds the student’s network and often leads to future employment opportunities
